Venkata Krishnan Ramaswamy

Venkata Krishnan Ramaswamy has a diverse range of work experience. Currently, they are working at Cresset software and discovery as a Senior Computational Chemistry Developer. Prior to this, they held the position of Computational Chemistry Developer at the same company.

Before joining Cresset software and discovery, Venkata worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Durham University. During this time, they focused on developing a neural network to generate new conformations and studied conformational dynamics and protein-ligand interactions using molecular dynamics.

Venkata also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi di Cagliari, where their research focused on characterizing the homo-oligomerization profiles of the Ebola virus protein and studying molecular recognition and transport processes in bacterial efflux pumps. Venkata Krishnan also completed their Marie Skłodowska-Curie (ITN) PhD fellowship during this time.

Additionally, Venkata has experience as a Visiting Researcher at Utrecht University, where they familiarized himself with integrative modeling software for small ligand-protein docking. Venkata Krishnan also worked as a Visiting Scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology, where they evaluated scoring functions in docking software and performed lead molecule selection by virtual screening.

Earlier in their career, Venkata worked as a Senior Research Fellow at NIPER (S.A.S. Nagar) and was involved in the development of a scientific workflow platform for drug discovery. Venkata Krishnan also completed their M.S.(Pharm.) as a student at NIPER (S.A.S. Nagar) and gained industrial training experience at ATOZ Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. and Pharmafabrikon in the Quality Control and Production departments, respectively.

Venkata Krishnan Ramaswamy obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Italy, from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Pharmacoinformatics from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in S.A.S. Nagar, India. In 2010, they completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) degree from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in India. Venkata Krishnan'ssecondary education includes completing their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) from Venus Junior College in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from 2004 to 2006, and their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Oxford School in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, in 2004.

Additionally, Venkata Krishnan Ramaswamy has obtained several certifications. These certifications include Data Analysis with Python from Cognitive Class in July 2020, a Marie Curie Fellowship from Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in November 2018, and a Doctor Europaeus (European PhD) from Università degli Studi di Cagliari in June 2017. Venkata Krishnan also holds certifications in Basic Java from C-DAC in July 2013, a Professional Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (PDIPR) from Satrishi Institute of Clinical Research in April 2012, a General Course on Intellectual Property (DL-101) from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in November 2011, and a Professional Diploma in Drug Regulatory Affairs (PDDRA) from Satrishi Institute of Clinical Research in April 2011. Furthermore, they are a Registered Pharmacist certified by the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council in January 2011 and has achieved a DELF A1 certification from the French Ministry of National Education in April 2009.
