Michael McDaniel has a strong background in accounting and finance. Michael began their career as a Staff Accountant at Gold Key Resorts/Professional Hospitality Resources (PHR) Hotels & Resorts in 1992 and worked their way up to Controller, where they were responsible for financial statements, budgeting, and cash flow projection. In 2010, they became Division Controller at the same company, where they provided leadership and administered financial systems for the division.
In 2012, Michael joined Harmony Hospitality as the Corporate Controller, overseeing financial operations until 2017. Michael then transitioned to Crestline Hotels & Resorts, where they initially served as Assistant Director of Centralized Accounting before being promoted to Director in 2020. In their current role, they lead a team of 15 and manages accounting functions for approximately 45 hotels, ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end processes. Michael also successfully transitioned accounting functions for new properties to the Crestline portfolio. Overall, Michael has extensive experience in accounting leadership and financial management in the hospitality industry.
Michael McDaniel attended Old Dominion University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
