Bill Sims has extensive work experience in various financial and accounting roles. Bill currently holds the position of SE Director of Accounting at Crete United, a role they started in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. for almost 20 years, where they held several positions including Director of Operations Excellence, Global Distribution Controller, NA Distribution Controller/US Distribution Controller, Tools & Fastening Distribution Controller, and Kannapolis Distribution Center Controller. During their tenure at Stanley Black & Decker, Bill led various initiatives related to distribution finance, strategic acquisitions, construction of distribution centers, and expense reduction. Before their time at Stanley Black & Decker, they worked as a Controller at GE Polymerland (GE Plastics) from 2000 to 2004 and as a Controller at Turbo Systems, Inc. from 1994 to 2000. At Turbo Systems, they were responsible for financial management, treasury, human resources, and new facility start-up efforts. Bill began their career as a Senior Accountant at Deloitte from 1990 to 1994.
Bill Sims attended Northwood University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting. Additionally, they are certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the State of Michigan, and they hold a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from The Pyzdek Institute.
