Ashish Vora is the President of Business Intelligence & Risk Solutions at [CRISIL](/org/crisil). Ashish has over 20 years of experience in the areas of analytics, data science, and risk management. Prior to joining [CRISIL](/org/crisil), they were the Business Head of Business Intelligence & Risk Solutions at [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Limited. Ashish was also the Co-founder & Director of QWICA Solutions Private Limited and Director & Co-founder of Pragmatix Services Pvt Ltd.

Ashish Vora has an MBA in finance and financial management services from the UNM Anderson School of Management. Ashish also has a degree from Christ Church School.

Their manager is Amish Mehta, CEO & Managing Director. They work with Vivek Saxena - General Counsel, Gurpreet Chhatwal - President & Business Head [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Ratings, and Zak Murad - Chief Technology & Information Officer. Maya Vengurlekar is the current COO of CRISIL Foundation and Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at CRISIL. Maya has been with the company since May 2002, starting as a Senior Director. In December 2014, they were promoted to their current position.

Maya Vengurlekar reports to Amish Mehta, CEO & Managing Director. They work with Anupam Kaura - President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Vivek Saxena - General Counsel, and Ashish Vora - President, Business Intelligence & Risk Solutions.

Maya Vengurlekar

Zak Murad is the Chief Technology and Information Officer of CRISIL Limited.

Zak drives the company’s global technology roadmap, product development, technology infrastructure, and alliances. He leads the implementation of micro-services, cloud, and digitally-led technology models in addition to focusing on digitalisation of content and enhancing CRISIL’s automation journey by harnessing machine learning and natural language processing. 

As a champion of innovation, he spearheads initiatives in risk management solutions, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud to help CRISIL clients accelerate their digital transformations, thereby delivering enhanced value to the business.

Before joining CRISIL, Zak was the Global Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations at S&P Global Ratings, where he led efforts to work towards common capabilities for product development across the Market Intelligence, Ratings, and Platts divisions of S&P Global.

He has previously worked with BNYMellon where he led data platforms, distributed compute/cloud, and information life cycle management services. In a career spanning over 30 years, he has also managed several large technology projects at well-known financial institutions such as Barclays, Goldman Sachs, and Lehman Brothers.

Zak is a thought leader and has been on the chair and panel of several prestigious technology events across the globe. He holds a degree from Rutgers University.

Zak Murad

Subodh heads the analytical function at CRISIL Ratings, and leads a 250+ member team across India. He chairs the Rating Committee and is responsible for its functioning. Subodh also leads the franchise initiatives for CRISIL Ratings and has authored several incisive opinion pieces on topics germane to credit rating. He is S&P’s nominee director on the Board of TRIS Ratings, Thailand, since 2017 and a member of CRISIL’s Executive Council since 2013.

Subodh has more than 20 years of experience in the ratings business and held various leadership positions across analytical and business functions. In his previous role, he headed the Ratings - mid-corporate group. Subodh was instrumental in turning around the division and strengthening CRISIL’s leadership position in this segment.

Prior to this role, Subodh held several key positions in the Ratings vertical.

Before joining CRISIL, he worked with Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd and Garware Wall Ropes Ltd.

Subodh holds a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and an engineering degree from the College of Technology, GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.

Subodh Rai

Pawan Agrawal is the Chief Risk Officer for CRISIL. In this role, Pawan leads the risk management and regulatory compliance function, focusing on mitigating risks and strengthening resilience, in the context of an evolving economic, technology, and regulatory environment.

Previously, Pawan was the Chief Analytical Officer for CRISIL Ratings, where he was responsible for maintaining analytical excellence in the ratings business, and for enhancing CRISIL’s franchise through outreach and thought leadership.

As a part of CRISIL Ratings, Pawan has, earlier, led analytical teams engaged in ratings of large Indian companies across the manufacturing, infrastructure, financial, and structured finance domains.

Pawan also set-up the operations at CRISIL’s Global Analytical Center (GAC), which provides high-end analytical, data, and modelling support to Standard & Poor’s global analysts. Pawan worked closely with S&P to grow the scale and diversity of services offered by GAC.

Pawan has worked with Standard & Poor’s Singapore office, where he has led the analytical team responsible for corporate and infrastructure ratings for S&P in the South and Southeast Asia region.

Pawan is a board member of the Caribbean Information and Credit Rating Services Ltd (CariCRIS), a regional rating agency based in Port of Spain.

Pawan holds a post graduate diploma in management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar and an engineering degree from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur.

Pawan Agrawal

Mr. Yann Le Pallec is Executive Managing Director and Head of Global Ratings Services. He is based in Paris and is a member of the S&P Global Ratings Executive Committee. Mr. Le Pallec oversees a group of 2,200 analysts and support staff present in 28 countries and covering more than one million outstanding ratings on entities and securities across a wide range of sectors including governments, corporations, financial institutions and structured finance.

Mr. Le Pallec has held a diverse set of responsibilities in his career at S&P.

In 2016, he was Head of Global Corporate Ratings, a group composed of 500 analysts responsible for analyzing over 4,000 non-financial corporations worldwide.

From 2011 until 2015, he was responsible for S&P’s market leading credit ratings business in EMEA, leading a team of over 900 rating analysts and support staff operating from 12 offices.

Previously, Mr. Le Pallec was Head of EMEA Corporate and Government Ratings, after occupying various managerial and analytical positions in the Insurance and Sovereign & Public Sector groups.

Before joining S&P in 1999, Mr. Yann Le Pallec was a Senior Manager with the Paris-based audit firm Salustro Reydel.

Mr. Le Pallec holds a master’s degree in Business from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economique et Commerciales (ESSEC) in France.

Mr. Amar-Raj Bindra is a career banker and has 42 years of rich experience in the banking industry across OECD and Emerging markets. He is a credit risk subject expert in the Banking Industry, with deep knowledge of the Asia region, having managed client and credit risk strategies over 5 global crisis’. Mr. Bindra retired from ANZ Banking Group International’s as Head of Credit & Capital Management – International, after managing a portfolio spanning 18 markets, including ESG initiatives for banking energy transition/sustainability linked loans and bonds and risk management digitization. Prior to this, Mr. Bindra was Group Head of Institutional Credit – Asia of Citi Group where he was responsible for a $140 billion USD portfolio in Asia, Japan and Australia covering multi geographies, products and industries. He joined the Citi Group in 1979 and held several positions at its various divisions.

Mr Bindra completed an Advanced Management Program from [University of Pennsylvania](/org/university-of-pennsylvania) and holds a post graduate Masters degree of Management Studies from [Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies](/org/jamnalal-bajaj-institute-of-management-studies), and a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai

Amar-Raj Bindra

Mr Girish Paranjpe is a co-promoter ofExfinity Venture Partners, a venture fund  which invests in tech start-ups. He is a General Partner at Exfinity and a member of the Investment Committee.

Mr Paranjpe served as the Co-CEO of [Wipro](/org/wipro)’s information technology (IT) business during 2008-2011 and was a member of the Board of Directors of [Wipro](/org/wipro) Limited. Mr Paranjpe had a two decade-long tenure at [Wipro](/org/wipro) Limited, where he led the IT business and held other senior positions, as President, Financial Services Consulting and Marketing; Head, Financial Services; and CFO, IT business.

More recently, Mr Paranjpe was the MD of Bloom Energy International, a Silicon Valley-based alternative energy company.

Mr Paranjpe is an Operating Partner in [Advent International](/org/advent-international), a Boston-headquartered private equity firm. He is also on [Advent](/org/advent)’s advisory board and serves on the boards of two [Advent](/org/advent)-invested companies – Dixcy Textiles and ASK Investment Managers. He also serves as an Independent Director on the Board of [Axis Bank](/org/axis-bank).

Mr Paranjpe is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

Girish Paranjpe

Priti Arora is the Chief Strategy Officer and Business Head, Global Analytical Centre (GAC), [CRISIL](/org/crisil). In her professional career of over 17 years, she has built and led large and high-performing global teams, provided value-creating solutions to global clients. She currently leads a 900-strong team that supports S&P Global Ratings Services by enhancing workflow efficiency, undertaking a range of activities that require specialized knowledge and capabilities. In her Strategy role, she is also responsible for facilitating the overall strategic direction and enterprise led initiatives in the company. She also leads the ‘Innovation Lab’ agenda and responsible for M&A within [CRISIL](/org/crisil). She also chairs the Diversity and Inclusion platform at [CRISIL](/org/crisil), ‘Winspiration’.

Priti has grown the scale and diversity in the range of services offered by GAC. Priti’s team supports analysis on 2600 companies, 800 financial institutions, 6000 public entity issuances and 80 sovereigns rated by S&P Global Ratings. Priti has helped focus on strategic long-term objectives such as developing new areas of support, generate greater cost efficiencies and talent development.

Before moving to GAC in 2008, Priti led [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Global Research & Analytics’ Credit offshoring operations supporting global investment banks. Prior to that, she was a part of the [CRISIL](/org/crisil)’s Ratings team and has been the lead analyst on several high-profile Indian credits across the consumer durables, fertilisers, trading, and IT/media sectors. She also spent a year in [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Ratings’ Centre of Excellence (COE) where she was responsible for developing new products, refining [CRISIL](/org/crisil)’s credit rating criteria, and assessing ratings performance.

Priti is an Economics Honors graduate and completed her MBA degree as a gold medallist from International Management Institute.

Priti Arora

Gurpreet Chhatwal leads the large and mid-corporate ratings businesses at [CRISIL](/org/crisil). He is responsible for analytical execution, managing client relationships, enhancing [CRISIL](/org/crisil)’s franchise through thought leadership and outreach. He is also responsible for spearheading the innovation agenda at [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Ratings, while continuing to focus on raising the rating standards at an industry level.

Prior to this, Gurpreet set up the Risk and Analytics (R&A) practice globally for [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Global Research and Analytics (GR&A) that now provides risk modelling, model validation, stress testing and regulatory support to global clients.

Gurpreet has held various positions with [CRISIL](/org/crisil)’s ratings business, across the analytical and the business development teams, and has played a key role in its growth over the years. He joined [CRISIL](/org/crisil) as an analyst in the ratings division and led ratings assignments for large clients in various sectors. From 2008 to 2012, Gurpreet led the Bank Loan Ratings (BLR) business – he was part of the team that set up [CRISIL](/org/crisil)’s BLR business and reached a milestone of over 10,000 outstanding ratings by April 2012.

Gurpreet has also been a part of [CRISIL](/org/crisil)’s Global Analytical Centre and worked with [S&P Global](/org/sp-global),

Gurpreet Chhatwal

Mr John Berisford is President of [S&P Global](/org/sp-global) Ratings. He is responsible for all aspects of the business, including commercial, analytical, control and operations. [S&P Global](/org/sp-global) Ratings is regulated in many of the countries it operates in, and Mr Berisford is a director of two of its largest legal entities – Standard & Poor’s Credit Market Services Europe Limited and Standard & Poor’s Financial Services LLC.

Previously, Mr Berisford served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources for [S&P Global](/org/sp-global) Inc (formerly known as The McGraw- Hill Companies). In this role, he was instrumental in creating and executing the Company’s growth and value plan, resulting in the creation of McGraw Hill Financial and the sale of McGraw-Hill Education. He led the initiative to create the Company’s focused business unit operating model, while strengthening the human resource function with new capabilities to support growth and performance goals. 

Before joining [S&P Global](/org/sp-global) in 2011, Mr Berisford spent 22 successful years at [PepsiCo](/org/pepsico) where he spearheaded a number of important global initiatives and transformations. Among other strategic projects, he led the integration after [PepsiCo](/org/pepsico) acquired the independent Pepsi Bottling Group into its overall corporate structure.

Mr Berisford holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from West Liberty College in West Virginia and a master’s degree in labour and industrial relations from [West Virginia University](/org/west-virginia-university).

John Berisford

Amish Mehta was named Managing Director and CEO in October 2021. In this role, Mehta steers the company’s Indian and global businesses, and their efforts to deliver high-quality analytics, opinions and solutions to corporations, investors, financial institutions, policymakers and governments, according to a press release. Prior to this appointment, Amish was the Chief Operating Officer at [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Limited having transitioned from the role of CFO. In that role, he oversaw the business of India Research, Small and Medium Enterprises ratings and the Global Analytical Centre in addition to corporate functions of Technology, Strategy, Legal and Compliance at [CRISIL](/org/crisil).

He has over 25 years of experience across variety of leadership roles in several large companies across different industries and functions. He is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Amish has previously worked as the Chief Financial Officer with [Indus Towers Limited](/org/indus-towers-limited) (world’s largest telecom tower company & a Joint Venture company between Bharti Infratel Limited, [Vodafone](/org/vodafone) and Aditya Birla Telecom), as the Director Finance with Castrol India Limited ( a listed subsidiary of BP in India), in senior roles in Ernst & Young Private Limited and Mobil India Private Limited.

Amish Mehta

Mr. Chakravarti is a Chartered Accountant with over 24 years of experience in financial management, strategy, taxation, treasury and accounting. He was born and brought up in Kolkata. After graduating from St Xaviers College, Kolkata, he completed Chartered Accountancy based in Kolkata.

In his most recent role, Mr. Chakravarti was the CFO of Shoppers Stop Ltd, where he spent 12 years. In addition to his role and responsibilities as CFO of Shoppers Stop Ltd, he was also heading the Legal, Investor Relations,  Internal Governance & Risk Control functions of the company. He was also on the Board of Crossword Bookstores Ltd and Timezone Entertainment Ltd, and a permanent invitee to the Board of Hypercity Retail Limited (till its sale to the [Future Group](/org/future-group)), all 3 of which were Shoppers Stop investee companies.

Mr. Chakravarti possesses diverse experience in finance from his prior years covering - advertising (Equus WPP), IT services (Hewitt), banking/IT services (Citigroup), apart from the recent one with Retail (at Shoppers Stop).

Sanjay Chakravarti

Anupam Kaura joined [CRISIL](/org/crisil) Limited as President, Human Resources. He has over 20 years of HR leadership and business partnership experience, of which 16 years have been in Banking, Insurance and ITES HR.

Prior to joining [CRISIL](/org/crisil), Mr. Kaura served as Head of HR Advisory and Products at IDFC Bank. He was instrumental in driving the build-out of all businesses and functions for IDFC Bank - Consumer and Rural Retail Banking, SME, Wholesale Banking, Risk, Operations & Technology, and Functions aggregating 3500 employees, across 56 locations across India. He has also worked with Citibank N.A., AXA Business Services and PwC in various HR roles.

Mr. Kaura holds a Masters Degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from [Tata Institute of Social Sciences](/org/tata-institute-of-social-sciences), Mumbai. 

Anupam Kaura

Stéphane is the CEO of Coalition and also serves on the board of Coalition. Upon joining Coalition in 2006, he launched Coalition Client Analytics, now one of the pillar products of the company. He also led Coalition’s Americas business from 2008 to 2012 developing client relationships with the largest US Investment banks and building up the local Coalition team.  

During his time as CEO, Stéphane drove the high growth of Coalition with a strong focus on client relationship, team development and analytics innovation.

Prior to Coalition, Stéphane was a consultant at [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company) for 7 years advising global and European investment banks on their Global Markets, Corporate Finance and Corporate Banking activities. He worked on strategic and operational assignments in Paris, New York and London. Prior to McKinsey, he worked in Banque Nationale de Paris’s Structured Finance team in New York.

Mr Ewout Steenbergen is the Executive Vice President and CFO of [S&P Global](/org/sp-global). As CFO, Mr Steenbergen is responsible for all aspects of the finance department, focused on growth and sustainable shareholder value. Moreover, he is responsible for strategy and corporate development, digital infrastructure and Kensho.

Prior to 2016, when he was appointed CFO of [S&P Global](/org/sp-global), he was the Executive Vice President and CFO of Voya Financial Inc. Before that, he was the CFO and Chief Risk Officer, ING Asia-Pacific, and held a number of management roles in the ING Group, including serving as the Regional General Manager in Hong Kong and the CEO of RVS, an ING Group company based in the Netherlands.

He has also held other international roles such as the CEO of ING’s retail business in the Czech and Slovak Republics and the CEO of ING Nationale-Nederlanden Slovak Republic.

Mr Steenbergen holds a Master’s degree in actuarial science from the [University of Amsterdam](/org/university-of-amsterdam) and a Master’s degree in business administration from the [University of Rochester](/org/university-of-rochester) and Nyenrode University.

He also serves on the Board of Directors of the US Fund for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.

Ewout Steenbergen

Ms Vinita Bali is a global business leader with extensive experience in leading large companies both in India and overseas. She brings a global and pragmatic perspective to strategy, marketing, innovation and operations, having worked across countries and continents, with responsibility for global and regional roles.

She has worked with eminent multinationals such as [The Coca-Cola Company](/org/the-coca-cola-company) and Cadbury Schweppes PLC in a variety of marketing, general management and Chief Executive roles in the UK, Nigeria, South Africa, Latin America, and the USA, in addition to [Britannia Industries Ltd](/org/britannia-industries-ltd) in India.

Effective April 2014, she moved from a full-time operational role as MD & CEO of Britannia to pursue her wide-ranging interests in the corporate and development sectors. She is a Non-Executive Director on the Global Boards of Smith & Nephew plc, and Bunge Limited. She has also served on the Global Boards of Syngenta International AG and GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition), a Swiss Foundation, based in Geneva.

In India, Ms Bali serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Syngene International Limited, a Member of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Management - Bangalore, an Advisory Board Member of PwC, and chairs the CII National Committee on Nutrition.

She was among 27 global leaders appointed by the UN in 2012 to help improve maternal and child health as part of its SUN (Scaling up Nutrition) initiative and completed her term in 2016. She has been recognised in forums nationally and internationally and won several awards for her various contributions to business and society.

She holds a graduate degree in Economics from the [University of Delhi](/org/university-of-delhi) and a Masters in Management from the University of Bombay.

Andre Cronje is the President and Head of International Business.

Based in London, Andre leads the GR&RS and GBA businesses.

A veteran with 27 years in banking, Andre played significant roles in global organizations such as HSBC and UBS.  leading strategic initiatives such as operating model changes, non-financial risk mitigation, setting up of a Conduct and Controls Office, technology and business alignment, and improving utilisation of data.

He is a Lawyer and Chartered Accountant (SA), and majored in Law, Economics and Accountancy from the Johannesburg University.

Andre Cronje

Vivek is a seasoned Legal professional with rich experience of over twenty five years in the fields of Corporate Law, Compliance, Regulatory frameworks and Governance across Banking and Finance, Capital Markets and Insurance sectors.

Prior to joining us he was General Counsel for Aviva Life Insurance and a member of their  Executive Committee and Board in India. He looks at his contributions in bancassurance through key alliances, thought leadership in difficult regulatory environments, and managing the interface with the Ministry as memorable over his past four years there.

Vivek has held key positions such as Director-Legal for Markets and International Banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland where he was Lead Lawyer in M & A actions involving management buyout of the private bank entity among other responsibilities. He has also worked with Interglobe Aviation, [Deutsche Bank](/org/deutsche-bank), Citi Smith Barney, [Western Union](/org/western-union) and Max New York Life with responsibilities covering both Legal and Compliance. Vivek started his career with SEBI, and has also spent 5 years with leading Law firms during the formative years of his professional career.

Vivek graduated from the National Law School of India, Bangalore and holds a BA LLB (honors) degree.
