Nora El Zokm is a highly experienced professional in the fields of policy advisory and conflict resolution. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at The Carter Center since May 2024, Nora also holds positions as a Facilitator with CMI — Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation and as the Founding Director of DARNA Research. With a strong background in leadership roles, Nora was a Team Lead at Oxfam International, USAID, and Seenaryo, and served as Research Lead at Save The Children Jordan. Additional experience includes international training with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and research consulting at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security. Nora holds a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from New York University, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from Copenhagen International School.
