Zaid Usta

Zaid Usta currently serves as a Project Assistant at the CMI - Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation since January 2023. Previously, Zaid held roles including Office Coordinator at Fluido from June 2022 to August 2022 and Trainee Assistant at Helsingin Kaupunki—virka info from December 2016 to May 2017. Zaid's diplomatic career includes positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iraq from 2005 to 2015, with responsibilities ranging from Secretary in the Deputy Minister's office to Deputy Manager at the Ministry's representative office at the airport, and Manager of passport issuance at the General Consulate in Germany. Zaid's education includes a Master's degree in Safety and Security Governance from Tampere University and a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Business from Haaga-Helia University, alongside additional studies in English Language and media and cultural fields.
