Emily Dendinger has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to 2022. Emily started their career as an Editor at Cengage Learning in 2006 and worked there until 2012. In 2009, they simultaneously took on the role of Program Coordinator for the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Chicago, which lasted until 2011. In 2015, Emily worked as a Content Producer/Writer at NogginLabs, Inc. and as a Curious Theatre Company, Denver – National New Play Network (NNPN) Playwright-in-Residence at the National New Play Network. In 2018, they became an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University and held the position until 2021. Following that, they joined Vox Media in 2021 as a Story Producer, Brandshop, and later moved on to work as a Copywriter at Wealth in 2022. Currently, Emily is a Copy Lead at Critical Mass, starting in October 2022.
Emily Dendinger's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Boston College and earned a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in English Language and Literature/Letters, as well as a BA in English and Theatre Arts. Emily completed their undergraduate studies in 2005. Later, in 2007, Emily pursued further education at the University of Chicago, where they obtained an MA in English and Playwriting, completing their studies in 2008. Finally, from 2011 to 2014, Emily attended the University of Iowa, where they earned a Master's degree in Playwriting.
