Usman Chaudhary

Usman Chaudhary has extensive work experience in the field of software development and design. Usman is currently working as a Senior Developer at Critical Mass since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Creative Lift from February 2015 to April 2020, where they held the position of Front-End Developer. At Creative Lift, Usman was responsible for building and maintaining full-stack apps and websites. Usman also designed APIs in NodeJS/Postgres and managed the consumption of third-party APIs. Usman implemented complex UI designs using front-end JS frameworks like ReactJS and worked as an embedded developer on client's engineering team for enterprise-level systems and websites. Additionally, they led efforts across teams to provide analytical solutions for measuring performance and executing A/B tests. Usman also mentored and trained new hires during their tenure at Creative Lift.

Prior to Creative Lift, Usman worked as a Junior Front-End Developer at Jobvite from March 2014 to February 2015. In this role, they created custom career sites based on client's requirements and style guide. Usman also developed and configured career sites, advised customers on best practices, and managed projects to meet service levels.

Usman's career in tech started at Dev Bootcamp, where they worked as a Graduate/Teaching Assistant from July 2013 to November 2013. Usman provided support to students, implemented object-oriented design concepts in Ruby and Javascript, and built database-backed web applications using Rails and Sinatra.

Outside of the tech industry, Usman has prior experience as a Lead Bartender at Dosa from November 2008 to June 2013, where they were responsible for seasonal cocktail design, daily bar management, and inventory ordering. Usman also worked as a Consultant/Bartender at Radio Bar from April 2009 to March 2011.

Furthermore, Usman has a background in music and was a Musician/Recording Artist at various venues from September 1995 to January 2010.
