Matthew Montano has held a number of financial roles since 2002. Matthew began their career at Intercontinental Hotels Group as a Finance Manager, where they streamlined the quarterly reporting process and reduced the complexity of the Asia Pacific group structure. Matthew then moved to GPT Group in 2005, where they held the roles of Offshore Finance Manager, Management Financial Controller, and Corporate Reporting Manager. In 2011, they joined LJ Hooker as Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller. In 2017, they became the Business Consultant at Ausin Group and Chief Financial Officer at Strike Energy. In 2018, they held the role of Chief Financial Officer at CriticalArc and Financial Controller at FSA GROUP LIMITED. Most recently, they have been the Chief Financial Officer at Ray White Macarthur Group since 2020.

Matthew Montano's education history includes attending Western Sydney University from 1992 to 1994, where they earned a degree in Accounting. From 1997 to 1999, they attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia to pursue a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. Matthew also attended the Australian Institute in 2013 to complete a Company Directors Course in Corporate Governance. Lastly, they attended St Ignatius Riverview from 1985 to 1990.
