Maja Ilic is a Medical Epidemiologist and Epidemiology resident at the Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ) since 2017, focusing on surveillance of vaccine-preventable diseases, COVID-19 response, and outbreak investigations. Prior to this, Maja served as a Family Medicine Physician at the Community Health Center Zagreb West from March 2016 to March 2017, where responsibilities included general practice and care within a Refugee and Migrants Camp. Maja also worked as a physician in the School Medicine Department at the Public Health Institute of Vukovar-Srijem County from October 2014 to February 2016, emphasizing vaccination and health education. Maja holds an ECDC EPIET Fellowship in Epidemiology from HZJZ (2018-2020) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Zagreb (2007-2013), with additional academic experience at St. George's University in 2011.
