Jessica Fewkes

Jessica Fewkes is a motivated research intern at the Biophysical Sciences Institute, focusing on innovative treatment approaches for Parkinson's disease through Retinoic Acid Receptor-Modulators. In addition to this role, Jessica serves as a project manager for Parkinson's Pals at Durham University Volunteering and Outreach, fostering connections between students and the local community. A student ambassador at Durham University, Jessica engages with prospective students and supports outreach initiatives. Jessica also holds a position as a cafe assistant at Crocus.co.uk and has contributed to various student organizations, including serving as creative director for the University College Ball Committee and managing the Castle Dresses scheme for sustainable fashion. Jessica is pursuing a BSc in Biological Sciences at Durham University, building on an academic background from St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School, where studies included Biology, Latin, and Chemistry.
