Hazel Whitaker has had a diverse and extensive career in various industries. Starting in 1987, they worked at KPMG in an unspecified role until 1995. Hazel then moved on to ICI Chemicals and Polymers, where they served as the Group Consolidation and Reporting Manager from 1995 to 1997. Following this, they joined ICI Films as the European Financial Director, working on strategic and management reporting and SAP process implementation. In 1998, they became the Acquisition and Transition Manager Europe at Dupont Teijin Films. From 2000 to 2005, they held the positions of European Shared Services Manager and European Financial Controller at ICI Uniqema. Concurrently, they were the Global Sarbanes Oxley Project Manager from 2005 to 2006. Hazel's next role was as the Head of Global Risk and Assurance at Croda from April 2007 onwards, and they also served as the Transition Project Manager from September 2006 to March 2007. In 2015, they became a Risk Steering Group member at Airmic, and in 2018, they joined the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Member of the Audit Committee.
Hazel Whitaker attended Polam Hall school twice, without obtaining a degree or specifying a field of study. Later, they pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of York.
