Andrea Carreno

Andrea Carreno is an experienced R&D Scientist at Cronos Group since September 2019, with prior roles including R&D Junior Scientist and R&D Grow Technician. Previous experience includes working as a Clinic Administrator at Hillcrest Centre For Health, where financial spreadsheets were prepared, inventory maintained, and insurance claims processed. At the National University of Colombia, Andrea served as a Project Assistant, focusing on intellectual property policies and creating a database for cocoa crops, and as a Research Assistant, contributing to the development of genetically modified maize and lecturing on Plant Biology. Early research experience at Universidad de Antioquía involved immunohistochemistry tests related to hepatitis infections. Andrea holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Science, specializing in Genetics & Plant Breeding from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
