Joseph Swift is a distinguished scientist currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of Crop Diagnostix, where the focus is on advancing predictive agriculture. Joseph has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies since March 2019, investigating the signaling and integration of abiotic stressors in plants, particularly drought. Previous experiences include a Doctoral Candidate role at New York University, concentrating on nutrient-triggered genome-wide responses, and a Masters of Philosophy Candidate at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, where novel molecular techniques for drug discovery were developed. Joseph holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from New York University, a Master of Philosophy in Biotechnology from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from UNSW.
