Terisa Horton

Director of Business Process Excellence at Cross Company

Terisa Horton has significant work experience in various leadership and financial roles. Terisa began their career in 1994 as an Accounting Manager and Limited Partner at RMD Inc., where they managed financial and accounting functions, prepared financial statements, and developed budgets. From 1999 to 2000, Terisa worked as a Financial Analyst at Gilbarco, consolidating financial reports and analyzing month-end reports. Terisa then joined Novartis Animal Health US, Inc. in 2001 as an Accounting Operations/Financial Reporting Manager, overseeing functional areas of accounting operations and managing financial reporting to the company's headquarters. In 2006, Terisa became the CFO of Libby Hill Seafood Restaurants, Inc., responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and payroll for multiple companies. From 2009 to 2015, Terisa worked as a Manager in Accounting at General Dynamics AIS, where they managed the general ledger and participated in budget creation and rate structure development. Their most recent position is at Cross Company, where they started in 2015 as the Corporate Controller and later became a member of the Corporate Management Team. In 2020, Terisa transitioned to the role of Director of Business Process Excellence, providing leadership in planning and executing enterprise-wide change and conducting in-depth analyses for process improvement projects.

Terisa Horton obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1985 to 1990. Terisa then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wake Forest University School of Business from 1998 to 2000. In 1996, Terisa became a Certified Public Accountant after receiving certification from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners.
