Melissa S.

Melissa S. has had a diverse work experience in the field of User Experience (UX) and design. Melissa began their career in 2003 as a Freelance Designer, working on various projects until 2010. Melissa then joined HD Supply as a Senior Designer and Web Designer, before transitioning to a role as a Senior Web Designer and Web Designer. In 2013, they briefly worked at PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. as a Front-End Developer on a contract basis. From 2014 to 2017, Melissa served as the UI/UX Lead & Front-End Developer at PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. In 2017, they joined Aya Healthcare as a UI/UX Web Application Designer, eventually becoming the UI/UX Engineering Manager and then the Sr. Manager of UI/UX Engineering. Melissa currently works at Cross Country Healthcare as the Director of User Experience, and they recently transitioned to the role of Senior Director of User Experience.

Melissa S. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in the Creation and Interpretation of Visual Images from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. After that, they pursued a Specialized Certificate in Digital Design from the University of California, San Diego Extension in 2004. Additionally, they attended various usability training sessions and workshops, such as the Nielsen Norman Group UX Conference in 2019, Usability Week presented by Nielsen Norman Group in 2011, and UX Design Essentials in 2011.
