Karla Friesen

Karla Friesen, M.A.Sc., is a highly experienced commissioning project manager currently leading a team at Crosslinx Transit Solutions, specializing in signaling and train control systems for the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit project. With a strong background in risk management, project planning, and controls, Karla has held various significant roles across multiple companies, including Accenture, SNC-Lavalin, and BQE Water, where expertise in risk assessment and management, project execution, and stakeholder engagement was demonstrated. In addition to technical proficiency, Karla possesses a solid academic foundation, holding both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science Engineering from the University of Toronto.
