Doug Brown

Doug Brown is an experienced professional in Scouting and organizational leadership, currently serving as the Initiatives Division Manager and Director of Field Service at Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America since June 2021. In this role, Doug oversees the expansion of Scouting across 26 counties in central Indiana. Prior to this, Doug held the position of Scout Executive/CEO at East Carolina Council, BSA, where responsibilities included strategic planning and impact on over 7,600 youth in eastern North Carolina. Doug's background also includes significant roles at the Boy Scouts of America and National Office of Learning for Life, where coordination of nationwide educational programs and improvement of operational effectiveness for various councils were key responsibilities. Doug's early career included leadership roles in the United States Marine Corps, contributing to skills in operations and training, alongside experience in corporate training at Burlington Motor Carriers. Doug holds a degree in History from The Citadel.
