Andrew N. Bazos, MD FAAOS is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon and medical professional. Andrew N. is the founder and director of SEP Orthopedics, where they have provided world-class orthopedic care and medico-legal consultations for over 20 years. With fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy, they treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Bazos is also actively involved in the field of event medicine. Andrew N. founded and served as the managing director of CrowdRx, the largest physician-owned event medical services company in the greater NYC area and the US. Additionally, they were the chairman and chief executive officer of the company from 2012 to 2019.
Furthermore, Dr. Bazos has served as a medical advisor for Edge Sports Management LLC, BLADE Urban Air Mobility, Inc., and CrowdMD, PC. Andrew N. is also a board member of the American Academy of Event Medicine.
In their earlier career, Dr. Bazos co-founded and worked as an orthopedic surgeon and physician partner at OrthoConnecticut. Prior to that, they gained research experience as a researcher at Spalding. Andrew N. also started their career as a produce clerk at Big Y World Class Market.
Andrew N. Bazos, MD FAAOS completed their Bachelor of Arts, cum laude in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Harvard University from 1980 to 1983. Andrew N. then pursued their medical education at Yale University School of Medicine, where they obtained their M.D. degree between 1983 and 1987. Dr. Bazos continued their training with a General and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Columbia University's Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center from 1987 to 1992. Following their residency, they pursued a Fellowship in Sports medicine and arthroscopy, specializing in knee and shoulder surgery, at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at New York University in 1992 and 1993.
Dr. Bazos also completed their high school education at Longmeadow High School, where they graduated as class valedictorian from 1976 to 1980. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in June 2015, a Physician License in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Nevada in March 1995. Moreover, they hold a certification in Event Medicine from the American Academy of Event Medicine, which they obtained in December 2014.
