Brett Donovan

Brett Donovan has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Their most recent position is as the Head of Data Science at Crowdz, where they are responsible for building machine learning models, creating credit lending and risk models, and collaborating with data providers. Prior to that, they served as a Data Science Manager at John Lewis & Partners. Brett also held the role of Chief Research Officer at Hadamard LLC, focusing on research and writing articles on quantum computing and technologies. Brett served as the Head of Data Science Analytics at bonify Germany, managing a team and developing heuristic algorithms. In addition, Brett worked as a Lead Modeler at RMS, where they developed risk models and engaged in high-performance computing. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Data Scientist and Product Manager at Spectrum Ventures, a Researcher at Unilever/UoS, and a Product Developer at Zynap/Autonomy. Brett's work history also includes a brief stint as a Category Manager at eBay.

Brett Donovan completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics at the University of York in 2001. Brett then pursued a Mini MBA in Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge in 2002. Later, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Nanotechnology from the University of Leeds in 2004. Brett went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Leeds in 2009. Additionally, they also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Biology, General at The University of Sheffield in 2009.
