Mylene Malika McEwen

Mylene Malika McEwen has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry, with a focus on operations. Mylene Malika is currently working at Crown Agents Bank since 2021, where they hold the role of Head of Core Operations. Prior to this, they were the Head of Payments, VP at the same company.

Before joining Crown Agents Bank, Mylene worked at BMCE BANK International Plc for 14 years, from 2007 to 2021, as the Head of Operations.

In 2006, Mylene worked at Medicapital Bank plc, where they played a pivotal role in establishing the Operations department from scratch. Mylene Malika created operational processes and procedures, accounting schemas, and SWIFT interbank transfer protocols. Additionally, they opened and managed custodian, nostro, and brokers accounts in the UK, Europe, and Africa. Mylene also recruited and trained the operations team during their time there.

Mylene Malika McEwen completed their 3eme Cycle degree in Finance and Wealth Management at SKEMA Business School in the year 1996. Mylene Malika then pursued a Master of Business Law at Lille 2 University of Health and Law and a PhD in Economics at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.

In addition to their formal education, Mylene has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include a Blockchain Revolution Specialisation Certificate from INSEAD in June 2022, a Certified Trade Finance Professional certification from the International Chamber of Commerce in February 2019, a Global Securities Operations certification from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in November 2015, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from The Knowledge Academy in June 2013, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from The Knowledge Academy in January 2011, an Operations Risk certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in February 2008, and an FSA Regulatory Environment certification from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in December 2006.
