Bogdan Aurelian

Bogdan Aurelian has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Most recently, they worked as the Director of Engineering at Crownpeak starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Engineering at Attraqt from December 2021 to January 2023. Bogdan'sresponsibilities included managing the delivery of projects, building a talented team of engineers, providing technical leadership, and facilitating collaboration between technical teams. Before their role as Head of Engineering, Bogdan was a Software Development Manager at Attraqt from April 2020 to November 2021, where they focused on project delivery and building high-performing e-commerce software.

Before joining Attraqt, Bogdan held the position of Cloud Software Team Lead at Fredhopper from April 2017 to April 2020, where they played a pivotal role in developing cloud-based software. Prior to that, they served as a Cloud Software Team Leader and Cloud Software Engineer at Fredhopper from April 2014 to April 2017.

Earlier in their career, Bogdan worked as a Software Engineer at Forcare B.V. from October 2012 to April 2014, where they gained experience in software development. Bogdan also served as a Master Thesis Intern at TNO from March 2012 to August 2012, where they conducted research on operating systems for on-demand networks.

Bogdan's work experience also includes a role as a KNAW Student Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from January 2012 to August 2012. In this position, they implemented a specific algorithm for a decentralized partnership formation project.

Additionally, Bogdan gained valuable experience as an intern at IBM Nederland B.V. as part of the Extreme Blue program from June 2011 to September 2011. Bogdan worked in a technical specialist role, assisting a client in developing a concept, creating a prototype, and presenting a business case.

Bogdan's early career experience includes working as a Software Developer at Ingenio Software (UCS Group) from October 2008 to August 2010.

Bogdan Aurelian completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest between 2005 and 2009.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Bogdan Aurelian obtained several certifications. In 2014, they completed the "Principles of Reactive Programming" course from Coursera. In 2012, they attained the "Nederlands als tweede taal, programma 2" certification from the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap. Furthermore, Bogdan Aurelian obtained the "WSET Level 2 Award in Wines" certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2021 and the "Rioja Advanced" certification from Rioja Wine in 2023.
