Behzad Abghari

Behzad Abghari is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Cerebras Systems since November 2020, with prior experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Interaptix Augmented Reality and a Machine Learning Engineer at Qualcomm, where contributions included work on the Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine. Abghari's academic background includes an undergraduate thesis supervised by Professor Roger Grosse at the University of Toronto, focused on a novel method for regularizing neural networks, as well as participation in a Kaggle competition involving scene image classification. Additional roles include internships and research positions at Altera, the University of Toronto, and the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies, emphasizing software development, research in machine learning and drone control. Abghari holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science with Honours in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto.
