Derek Cullimore

Vice President of People and Culture at Crucial Learning

Derek Cullimore has a long and varied work experience. Derek began their career in 2000 as a Channel Sales and Marketing Manager at TestOut Corporation. In 2002, they moved to Westaff as a Regional Human Resources Business Partner. In 2008, they joined Young Living Essential Oils as Senior Manager of Human Resources and Regional Business Director. In 2012, they moved to Mountain America Credit Union as a Senior Sales Consultant and Trainer. In 2013, they became Education Manager, Facilitator Development at InsideOut Development. In 2014, they took on the role of Human Resources & Organizational Development Director at SolarWinds. In 2018, they joined Basic Research as Head of Human Resources and Ensign College as an Adjunct Professor teaching Employment Law and Compensation and Benefits courses. Finally, in 2020, they became Vice President of People and Culture and Human Resources Director at Crucial Learning.

Derek Cullimore is currently pursuing an Executive Master's of Human Resources (EMHRM) from Cornell University, which they expect to complete in 2022. Derek obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Phoenix in 2007. In 2004, they earned an Associate of Science (AS) in General Studies from Utah Valley University. Derek completed their high school education at Orem High School. Additionally, Derek has obtained three certifications: a DDI-Certified Facilitator from Development Dimensions International in October 2014, an InsideOut Coaching-Certified Facilitator from InsideOut Development in October 2013, and a Crucial Conversations-Certified Facilitator from VitalSmarts in February 2011.
