Head of Policy Communications at Cruise

Hannah Lindow is currently the Head of Policy Communications at Cruise Automation. Prior to this, they served as the Communications Director for Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin from January 2019 to March 2021. In this role, Hannah was responsible for leading and executing an aggressive communications strategy across national and local media for a high-profile, “frontline” member of Congress. As the youngest member of the Congresswoman’s senior staff, they advised their daily on media posture in reaction to a volatile news environment. Hannah also led in-depth, policy-forward prep sessions ahead of every media hit on issues ranging from local water contamination to national security topics. Hannah successfully managed media strategy through multiple high-stakes, politically sensitive periods and was responsible for booking and carrying out a robust TV, radio, and print media engagement schedule. In addition, they oversaw the digital program and managed two other communications staff members.

Before their role as Communications Director, Hannah served as Deputy Communications Director for Elissa Slotkin for Congress from January 2018 to November 2018. In this role, they assisted with crafting and executing communications strategies to support Elissa Slotkin’s congressional campaign.

Hannah began their career in advocacy as the Social Media & Digital Advocacy Assistant at NARAL Pro-Choice America from February 2017 to January 2018. In this role, they created and executed social media campaigns to engage supporters and promote reproductive rights.

Hannah Lindow attended Wellesley College, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French. Hannah then attended Sciences Po Aix, where they obtained their Certificat d'Etudes Politiques. Hannah has also received certification from Dale Carnegie Training in Dale Carnegie Leadership Training and from the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence in Building Skills for Domestic and Sexual Violence Service Providers for Inclusive, Survivor-Informed Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Programs.

They are on a team with and Aaron McLear - Senior Director of Communications. Their manager is Kristine Boyden, Chief Communications Officer.
