Tetteh Otuteye

Tetteh is a seasoned insurance and actuarial pro who joined us from Waymo. At Cruise, he leads a cross-functional effort evaluating autonomous vehicle risk across emerging business models—a critical next step in our path to commercialization.

During his tenure at Waymo, Tetteh served as Director of Insurance and was responsible for developing actuarial methodology, overseeing claims operations, evaluating insurance purchasing strategy, and advising on insurance considerations for commercial partnerships. Prior to Waymo, he was the Chief Actuary at Aspen Insurance with responsibilities across reserving, pricing, and predictive analytics.

Tetteh earned a B.A. in Math and Economics from Lawrence University and currently resides in Palo Alto with his wife, son, and daughter. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find him playing or watching soccer, with an intense passion for all things Liverpool FC. He enjoys cooking, spending time with his kids, and visiting family and friends across the US and in his home country of Ghana, and his wife's family in Ethiopia.
