David Carr attended Serrano High School from 1984 to 1989. In 1989, they enrolled at California State University-San Bernardino to study Computer Science, but it is unknown whether they completed a degree. David later attended Brigham Young University from 1993 to 1994, where they earned a BA in Economics. David returned to Brigham Young University from 1996 to 1998 and obtained an MBA in Information Systems Management.
