David Carr

David Carr has a diverse and extensive work experience. David served as the VP of Software Engineering at Crunch.io, where they oversaw all software development and project teams with a remote workforce spread across 5 continents. Prior to that, they were the Technical Co-founder and CTO at Zumint, where they founded the company, funded the initial seed round, and built it into a full SAAS platform with enterprise customers.

David also worked as the CTO at ObservePoint, leading a team of software developers and professionals in the United States and Europe to redesign the application architecture and rebuild the engineering department.

Earlier in their career, they held the position of VP at Vivint, where they led software development and enterprise application teams. David also worked as the Chief Information Officer at the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, overseeing diverse businesses within the conglomerate.

Additionally, they held multiple roles at Omniture, including VP of Corporate Systems (CIO), VP of Operations, and VP of Client Services. David led various IT and software development teams, implemented process improvements, and achieved high customer retention and revenue growth.

Before that, they served as the Chief Information Officer at Discovery Research Group, managing IT personnel and software development teams, implementing process improvements, and reducing costs.

Their earlier experiences include being a VP of Engineering at Omniture, leading software development teams, and serving as a Senior Developer and Lead Project Manager at Tenfold Corporation. David also worked as a Programmer and Entrepreneur at InvestmentChallenge.com, where they designed and built an online stock market trading simulation application.

Throughout their career, David Carr has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a track record of successfully building and managing teams, implementing process improvements, and driving business growth.

David Carr attended Serrano High School from 1984 to 1989. In 1989, they enrolled at California State University-San Bernardino to study Computer Science, but it is unknown whether they completed a degree. David later attended Brigham Young University from 1993 to 1994, where they earned a BA in Economics. David returned to Brigham Young University from 1996 to 1998 and obtained an MBA in Information Systems Management.
