Karen Oostendorp Vance

Karen Oostendorp Vance has worked in the technology industry since 1995. Karen began their career at Trusted Information Systems, Inc. as a Computer Scientist. In 1998, they moved to DynCorp Information & Engineering Technology, where they held the role of Senior Systems Analyst. In 1999, they became a Principal at SecureMethods, Inc. In 2006, they joined Tresys Technology as Managing Director, where they were involved in a significant percentage of all Engineering Services projects and opportunities, including writing, coordinating, and reviewing proposals; providing systems analysis and architecture guidance; ensuring quality of deliverables; project management; and writing and reviewing user and technical (requirements, design, test) documentation. In 2021, they became Principal Security Engineer at Crunchy Data.

Karen Oostendorp Vance received their B.S. in Computer Science from Calvin University in 1993 and their M.S. in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 1995.
