Basem Elsokary has a diverse work experience in the technology and mobile engineering field. Basem is currently the Vice President of Client Engineering at Crunchyroll since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Technology at AMC Networks from January 2022 to March 2023.

From August 2019 to January 2022, Basem served as the Executive Director of Technology at Beachbody and also held the role of Senior Director of Technology, Client Development from March 2015 to January 2022. Basem was responsible for leading technology teams and overseeing client development for the company.

Before that, Basem worked as the Director Mobile Development at Farmers Insurance from February 2014 to March 2015 and as the Director of Mobile Software Engineering at Health Symmetric from July 2013 to February 2014.

Basem began their career at Move, Inc. where they held multiple roles, including Senior Software Engineer from October 2000 to June 2011, and Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Architect - Mobile from June 2008 to January 2011.

Additionally, Basem worked at Epocrates as a Senior Mobile Software Engineer from April 2011 to April 2012, where they played a significant role in the design and development of healthcare industry apps. Outside of their full-time positions, Basem also worked as an independent consultant at Belsokar Consulting, Inc. from January 2008 to August 2011, where they developed and released several iPhone and iPad applications. Overall, Basem has extensive experience in mobile engineering, technology leadership, and consulting.

Basem Elsokary's education history begins in 1988 when they attended Monterey High School. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1992 to 1998. During the same period, they also pursued a minor in Computer Science at the same institution.
