Sonia Houghton

Sonia Houghton has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Sonia is the CEO and Founder of Cryoniss since 2018. Prior to that, they worked at AstraZeneca from 2006 to 2019, where they held various roles including Global Cell Bank Lead and Senior Research Bioscientist. Before joining AstraZeneca, they worked as a Contract Protein Scientist at the company from 2006 to 2007. Sonia also worked at Cancer Research Technology as a Research Officer from 2005 to 2006 and at GENESYS Ltd as a Student Research Scientist from 2001 to 2002.

Sonia Houghton's education history includes a Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner course in 2012, where they did not earn a degree or specialize in any specific field of study. From 1999 to 2003, they attended the University of Bath and obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, achieving a 2:1 classification.
