Mark Foster

Mark Foster has a diverse and extensive background in EU policy, government relations, and corporate management. Mark is currently the EU policy lead at the Crypto Council for Innovation, where they are responsible for shaping and advancing policy initiatives. Prior to this role, Mark was an International Policy Adviser at Kreab Worldwide. Mark also has experience as the owner and managing director of Strategic Advisory Management, providing strategic, advisory, and engagement support in various areas. Mark has held leadership positions at the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium and Barclays, where they served as Vice President of Government Relations. Mark has also worked at Kreab Worldwide as a Partner, Director, and Associate Director. During their time at the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU), Mark was the Vice Chair of the Financial Services and Company Law Committee. Mark began their career at the UK Permanent Representation to the EU as a Senior Parliamentary Officer, specializing in economic and monetary affairs. Mark also has experience as a Parliamentary Assistant at the European Parliament.

Mark Foster obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Modern European Languages and European Union Studies from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland, from 1998 to 2002. Mark then pursued a Postgraduate Masters of Science degree in Relations et affaires internationales (Relations and International Affairs) from L'institut Europeen des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Nice, France, from 2002 to 2003.
