Mary K. Shields

Mary K. Shields is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in charter school development and management. Currently semi-retired at CS Partners since 2013, Shields previously held the roles of President and Senior Vice President of Operations, overseeing key operational functions and educational initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Deputy Director at The Center for Charter Schools and Deputy Director at Central Michigan University's Center for Charter Schools. Shields founded the National Charter Schools Institute, focusing on performance and accountability, and has held leadership positions with White Hat Management and the State of Michigan. Educated at Central Michigan University and Wayne State University, Shields holds advanced degrees in administration and special education.
