Johanna Laiho-Kauranne is a PhD Researcher at the University of Helsinki's Centre for Social Data Science since January 2024 and serves as Data Governance Lead at CSC - IT Center for Science, focusing on data governance and research data management. Since May 2020, Johanna holds a position on the Scientific Advisory Board of Statistics Sweden, providing consultation on statistical development and quality. Previously, as Senior Data & AI Strategist at DAIN Studios (August 2022 - November 2023) and Deputy Director General at Statistics Finland (February 2020 - August 2022), Johanna directed statistics production and developed data and AI solutions. Education includes a Ph.D. in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton and an MSc in Statistics from the University of Helsinki.
