Janice Gavin currently serves as the Executive Editor for CSEA Local 1000, a position held since May 2017, where responsibilities include managing CSEA’s publications, such as The Work Force and Retiree News, alongside overseeing a team of Communications Specialists. Prior to this role, Janice worked as an Associate Editor at the Civil Service Employees Association from September 2004 to May 2017, assisting in the planning and production of various publications and managing online content. Earlier experience includes serving as a Communications Specialist for CSEA Local 1000 and as a Reporter for the Press-Republican. Janice holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
