Scott joined the CSI team following a 26-year career in law enforcement retiring as the Patrol Operations Division Commander for the Bedford, New Hampshire Police Department. In his career, he worked as a patrol officer, field training officer, detective, prosecutor, patrol sergeant, and as a lieutenant was the commander of the communications and records division. In his last assignment, he was responsible for leading and managing all police operations, the mountain bike and motorcycle units as well as officers assigned to the Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit.
Scott served in the United States Army and was deployed to Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1997-1998. His unit was responsible for public affairs in the headquarters located in Tuzla and Sarajevo. He has been an adjunct faculty instructor since 2009 at Great Bay Community College and since 2019 at Southern New Hampshire University in the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security programs. He has also been a member of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials since 2003. Scott is also an active member of the New Hampshire Police Association Pipes and Drum as a tenor drummer.
