Engineering · Volunteer · Remote · Remote possible
CSIRT.global is an international not-for-profit organisation, bringing CSIRT to those who don't have access to it. We are growing at a high pace, have just started a research team, and we're about to on-board volunteers in many different countries.
Why join
We offer a fantastic volunteering opportunity for IT engineers with an interest in cyber security.
Every single volunteer at CSIRT.global believes the internet needs help, and we need to bypass constraints like borders. That's why we (in parallel to our often demanding jobs), invest time and effort to the good cause. We believe in giving opportunities, friendship, learning and sharing, while being very much aware of the confidentiality of the data we process. We'll offer you an invaluable experience in cyber security, as well as our friendship, guidance, mentorship and network.
Description
We are looking for IT engineers to strengthen our team. You will be responsible for supporting the global response of severe vulnerabilities and work closely with DIVD, our local chapters and other departments to implement IT, secure communication channels, ensure confidentiality, support the different processes, and take care of operations.
Apart from coordinating major incidents worldwide, we run an independent Bug bounty program pilot. With this effort, we support NGOs in executing their missions, as well as provide our non-profit services.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Requirements
We do understand this seems like a tremendously long list of requirements. They're meant to give clarity rather than to narrow the profile down. We think your motivation & eagerness are equally important. So if you're in doubt if your profile fits, go for it!
