Christa López, PhD, CEM, currently serves as a Senior Advisor at CTEH, focusing on climate resilience, disaster recovery, and environmental justice. Previously, Christa held the position of Specialist Leader at Deloitte, providing expertise in disaster response and recovery. As the Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of Community Development and Revitalization at the Texas General Land Office, Christa managed state-funded disaster recovery programs. Christa's experience includes ownership of A New Start Biorecovery Biohazard Cleaning, oversight of human services at the Texas Department of Public Safety, and various roles in crisis response and management at the University of Texas at Austin. Christa holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University, alongside multiple degrees in Emergency and Disaster Management, Counseling, and Horticulture.
