Les Stroud has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles throughout their career. Les began their career at Federal Express as a Java Evangelist and Programmer, where they worked on various projects and helped introduce Java-based technologies within the company. Les then moved on to Bank of America, initially working as a Senior Programmer and later transitioning into an Architecture role, focusing on merging business logic across application groups.

Following their time at Bank of America, Stroud joined Blackbird Holdings, Inc., a startup in the financial industry, where they played a crucial role in updating the backend architecture and implementing new software products. Les then worked as a Consultant at Siemens, contributing to the development of a hospital management and medical records transmission system. Additionally, they had a short-term contract as a Consultant at Advice Frameworks, working on a retirement what-if scenario calculation website.

Stroud's extensive experience also includes time at CSX World Terminals as an Architect/Programmer, where they designed and implemented a port management system. Les then joined Barnhardt Manufacturing Company, an old cotton bleachery, where they held multiple roles. Starting as a Technical Lead, they addressed the lack of integration in the company's paper-based operations and facilitated their transition to digital processes. Les later became a Solutions Architect, leading projects such as the design and implementation of a secure e-commerce fulfillment API and integrations with Shopify storefronts. Finally, they served as an Enterprise Architect, focusing on leveraging information strategically and enhancing the IT organization's agility and capacity through the adoption of cloud technologies and advanced analytics.

Most recently, Stroud joined CTI as the Director of Portfolio Technology, overseeing the technological aspects of the company's portfolio.

Les Stroud attended Southside High School from 1987 to 1991. After completing high school, they enrolled at Clemson University and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from 1991 to 1996.
