Ethan Faber

News Director, CTV Vancouver (previously Managing Editor & Reporter) at CTV News

Ethan Faber has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ethan began their career in 1996 as a Reporter for BCTV and later joined CTV News in 1997, where they held multiple roles including Managing Editor, Reporter, and eventually News Director for CTV Vancouver. In 1999, they joined the BC Institute of Technology as a Broadcast Journalism Instructor, a position they held until 2014. During this time, Ethan also volunteered as an Expert Trainer for Journalists for Human Rights starting from 2014. In 2018, they became a Board Member for the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC).

Ethan Faber attended the Poynter Institute in 2007, where they obtained a Diploma in Leadership for Media Managers from the University of South Florida. From 1995 to 1997, they attended the BCIT School of Business + Media and earned a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism. Prior to that, between 1988 and 1992, Ethan studied at the University of Victoria, where they obtained a BA degree with a Double Major in English and History.
