James Lewis has a diverse work experience in the media industry. James started their career as a Reporter/Anchor at News Talk 980 CKNW from November 2010 to October 2012. James then moved on to Global BC, where they worked as an Associate Producer from August 2012 to September 2015, overseeing the production of live and breaking news events. James was later promoted to the role of Producer at Global BC, responsible for newsroom operations and live control room production for the highest-rated late newscast. In 2017, James joined CTV News as a Producer for their late local newscast, "CTV News at 11:30". James eventually moved up to the position of Senior Producer and then Supervising Producer. Currently, James holds the role of News Director at CTV News, where they lead various teams in the daily content development and planning of live events. James also provides mentorship and coaching to other team members.
James Lewis attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012, where they pursued a field of study in Broadcast & Online Journalism. However, their educational background does not include the completion of a specific degree.
