Aaron Duffy is a legal and community development professional with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Chief Legal Officer at Sims Venture Capital since May 2021, Duffy also holds the position of Senior Vice President for Community Advancement at CU Strategic Planning. Prior roles include Executive Director at Appalachian Opportunity Fund and General Counsel at Mountain Empire Agency Alliance. Duffy's background includes senior leadership in legal and community development at Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union, where responsibilities spanned both legal affairs and community development initiatives. Duffy began a legal career as an attorney at Wilson Worley Moore Gamble & Stout, P.C., and has earlier experience as a data analyst at the Tennessee Valley Authority. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
