Barbara Maertens

Barbara Maertens is the Co-Founder and COO at Cube Biotech since September 2012, overseeing service project acquisition and management, as well as project funding. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientist at QIAGEN from June 2008 to August 2012, where responsibilities encompassed the development and scaling of enzyme production processes and innovative products in protein sciences. Barbara Maertens also worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Freiburg, focusing on genetic and molecular research related to human skin diseases, and completed a Ph.D. at the Center for Biochemistry II in Cologne. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The University of Bonn.
