Ahmet Vakkasoglu

Principal Scientist at Cue Biopharma

Ahmet Vakkasoglu has a wealth of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Ahmet began their career in 2009 as a Post-doctoral Research Associate and Associate at Harvard University. In 2015, they joined Extend Biosciences as a Scientist, where they worked on half-life extension technologies for short-lived small molecules, peptide/protein drugs. In 2017, they moved to Momenta Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist, where they developed assays for M710 (Eylea) Biosimilar program leading to IND and CTA filings and provided biophysical characterization on M710 convincing FDA to move directly to phase III clinical trial. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Cue Biopharma as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist.

Ahmet Vakkasoglu received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Boğaziçi University between 1996 and 2000. Ahmet then earned a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Bilkent University between 2000 and 2002. Lastly, they obtained a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2002 and 2008.
