Lexie Bell

Lexie Bell is the Director of Institutional Grants at Cuesta College. Lexie has dedicated their career to environmental conservation and stewardship, working on projects to improve water quality and habitat protection in both the Morro Bay watershed and nationwide.

Bell's career began as a Knauss Sea Grant Fellow with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where they worked on educational initiatives related to ocean and coastal resources. Lexie then spent 12 years as the Executive Director of the Morro Bay National Estuary Program, overseeing a team of staff who implemented conservation projects in the watershed. In this role, they also represented the Estuary Program at local, regional, and national conferences, and worked with partners to expand the program's reach and impact.

Most recently, Bell has been working as the Director of Institutional Grants at Cuesta College. In this role, they manage a portfolio of grant-funded projects that support the college's mission and goals. Lexie has also been instrumental in securing funding for critical college programs and initiatives.

Bell's commitment to environmental stewardship and conservation has made their a valuable asset to both the Morro Bay National Estuary Program and Cuesta College. Her experience in grants management and nonprofit administration has helped their to secure funding for important programs and projects that benefit both the environment and the community.

Lexie Bell has a Masters of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management - University of California, Santa Barbara. Lexie also has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science, Biology, and Chemistry from the University of Miami.

Lexie Bell reports to Jason Curtis, Assistant Superintendent & VP of Instruction. Lexie Bell works with Oscar Ramos - Dean of Instruction for English & Mathematics, Mia Ruiz - Director of Continuing Education & Special Programs, and Tania Coulombe - Director of Paramedic Programs.
