Benjamin Maciejewski

Director of Clinical Research Scientist at Cullinan Oncology

Benjamin Maciejewski has extensive experience in the research and clinical sciences field. Benjamin started their career in 2005 as a Research Assistant at Women and Infants Hospital, where they gained experience in culturing type II lung cells, performing surgeries on rats and mice for fetal lung extraction, as well as gaining extensive experience in multiple methods of both protein and RNA extraction analysis. In 2007, they joined Pfizer as a Scientist in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases division, Discovery Innovations. Benjamin had extensive experience in the development of in vitro and in vivo assays to aid in the discovery of safe and novel diabetes and cardiovascular drugs. In 2014, they joined Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Clinical Scientist in the Translational Medicine, Clinical Sciences & Innovation division. Benjamin led cross-functional and cross-divisional global clinical trial teams of high priority and high complexity to drive projects into Global Drug Development late state studies. Benjamin had Phase 1 and Phase 2 study experience in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Covid-19, diabetic macula edema (DME) and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). In 2022, they were appointed as the Director, Clinical Research Scientist at Cullinan Oncology.

Benjamin Maciejewski obtained a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology between 2000 and 2004. Benjamin then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Biology from Brown University between 2008 and 2010. Most recently, in 2018, they earned a Clinical Research Certificate from Boston College.
