Rustin Richburg

Rustin Richburg is currently an advisor at Cultivate. They have previously worked as the Chief People Officer at BARK from January 2021 to June 2022, responsible for leading all functions within the People organization, enhancing processes and frameworks around talent acquisition, learning and development, inclusion & belonging, and compensation strategy. Rustin has also worked as the Chief People Officer (CHRO) at Walton Enterprises from January 2019 to December 2020, leading the People (Human Resources) Teams across both Walton Enterprises, Inc. and the Walton Family Foundation. Rustin was also a key partner and advisor to family members and business leaders across all business entities, responsible for growing the organizations's talent in a sustainable way and developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, develop and engage employees. Prior to that, they worked as an Interim HR Leadership Consultant and at SemperVirens Venture Capital.

Rustin Richburg holds an undergraduate degree in agribusiness from Texas A&M University. Rustin also has a program management certification from the University of Washington and a conflict resolution certificate from Cornell University. In addition, they hold certifications from LinkedIn in Six Sigma Foundations, Hogan Assessment Systems in Hogan Assessment Certification, and Dealing with the Seven Deadly Wastes. Rustin also has certifications from ConsenSys Academy in Blockchain: Foundations and Use Cases and The Wharton School in Introduction to Marketing. Finally, they are a certified Notary Public in the state of New Jersey.
