Heather Wood

General Partner at Cultivation Capital

Heather worked in mergers and acquisitions for almost 20 years at Cequel III, Charter Communications and Monsanto, most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Cequel III. Her teams acquired and integrated dozens of companies in consolidating industries, primarily cable television and communications towers. These teams raised billions in bank debt, high yield debt and private equity, and led multiple exits, including an IPO, sales to private equity, and several leveraged buyouts with management remaining in place.

Heather serves several organizations in board and advisory roles: Great Circle, Arch Grants Judging Committee, Washington University Olin Alumni Board, Danforth Plant Science Center Leadership Committee, Care to Learn, and Ardent. Heather actively invests in early-stage companies with a focus on St. Louis based firms.

Heather was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as a Most Influential Business Woman in 2010, has served on the Boards of The College School and Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund, and was a mentor for Prosper Startup Accelerator. Heather received her MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University.
