Michael (Mike) Calma

Mike Calma has over 10 years of experience in the field of biochemistry and analytical chemistry. Michael (Mike) began their career in 2012 as a Scientist I, Production at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they performed surface chemistry involving microarrays and Primer Synthesis, purification, and formulation. In 2018, Mike moved to Zymergen as a Manager of the Analytical Chemistry Operations Group, where they were in charge of overseeing tasks and operations of the department, performing extensive troubleshooting involving HPLCs, and extensive data processing and analysis on a tight deadline. In 2022, Mike joined Culture Biosciences as an Operations Manager (Assay and Analytical) and Full Cycle as an R&D Manager-Analytics.

Mike Calma attended the University of California, Davis from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Genetics.
