Michael Nagowski

Michael Nagowski is the CEO of Cumberland County Hospital System, Inc. Michael has previously served as President of Buffalo General Medical Center, Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital, and University of Buffalo School of Medicine - University Physiatry Group. Michael has also served as Chief Financial Officer and Administrator of Global Learning Technologies. Nagowski has been credited with leading the system’s flagship hospital back to financial stability and regional market dominance as the planned site for the regional integration plan for four hospitals. Michael has also achieved a 25% financial improvement ($6 million) during the first year of responsibility, as well as the first increase in acute care admissions in 7 years (3%).

Michael Nagowski has a Master of Business Administration - MBA from St. Bonaventure University in Business Administration and Management, General. Michael also has a Bachelor of Science - BS from Park College, Arlington, Virginia in Computer Science. Michael Nagowski is certified from the Joint Commission in Joint Commission Disease Specific Certifications (Hip, Knee, AMI, CHF, Pneumonia, Wound Care, Sepsis, and Advanced Stroke). Michael is also certified from The Leapfrog Group in LeapFrog patient safety grade of ‘A’.
