Jenny Ballard

Jenny Ballard is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Cumberland University since August 2023. With extensive experience in various theatrical roles, Jenny has been an actor since June 2000 and held significant leadership positions, including Managing Artistic Director at Theatre Baton Rouge from July 2014 to August 2023 and Founding Artistic Director at Knoxville Children's Theatre from January 2007 to August 2010. Jenny has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Theatre Professor at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge Community College, and River Parishes Community College, teaching courses in Script Analysis, Intro to Theatre, Directing, and Acting. Jenny holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Acting from Louisiana State University and multiple Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and English/Theatre from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
